I've been sitting on these images for a while, but now with the hot weather in the UK hopefully here until the end of the summer (fingers crossed), I thought I would share them with you guys. This outfit is actually the combination I chose to wear to Paris fashion week and due the crazy heatwave I had to rethink what I wanted to pack at the last minute.
Also a massive thank you to Mr Porter for sending me lots of items featured, they're pretty much my No.1 go to site for all things Men's Style so as you can imagine I'm pretty over the moon to be working with them.
The apartment we rented had a little secluded courtyard, away from the hectic streets of Paris. It was the perfect place to sit down, chill, drink some coffee and plan the day ahead. With my first outfit I wanted to choose something that would transition well from daytime to evening.
On top, I chose a classic well fitted white t-shirt which I picked up from Cos paired with a super light Todd Snyder linen shirt from Mr Porter. My main aim was to be as comfortable as possible in the heat and linen is a great fabric for keeping cool.
For the bottom half of the outfit I went with pair of cropped trousers from Cos, again they are super lightweight. I'm not actually much of a shorts wearer, if I can wear jeans or some type of cropped trouser I will always go for that option, so these were perfect. I was also conscious of being out all day and then wanting to head out without going back to the apartment, so dressing a little bit smarter meant that it was no problem going into the evening if I headed to a bar or for dinner.
Gucci is a brand that I'm really enjoying at the moment and I'd been eyeing up (excuse the pun) these sunglasses for a while along with the Ace Sneakers. I think Gucci are putting out some really interesting pieces right now; pairing their classic style with interesting twists, like the embroidered bee on these sneakers. I definitely spotted loads of people wearing Gucci or items inspired by them during fashion week too.
If you wanted to check out how the outfits moved in real life too, I shot a little Lookbook whilst I was out there. You can check that out below, which also means you get to see outfit 2 before it goes live on here too!
Being in Paris has such great memories for me and whenever I arrive it always brings a smile to my face (even when it's 37 degrees!) I just love people watching, especially in such a stylish city and I definitely feel inspired by a lot of what I see people wearing on the streets of Paris.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and liked my choices for the outfit. I will see you tomorrow for outfit no 2.
